Teaching and children have always occupied a special place in my heart. I have always had a deep love for working with children and witnessing their incredible growth. As an educator, I strongly believe in fostering a positive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to reach their full potential. One of the cornerstones of my teaching philosophy is embracing a growth mindset; I firmly believe that intelligence and abilities can be developed through dedication, hard work, and a willingness to learn from mistakes. My journey as an educator began at the University of Texas at Dallas, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Child Learning and Development in 2018. This academic experience provided me with a robust foundation in understanding the intricacies of childhood learning, enabling me to better connect with my students. The knowledge and skills acquired during this time have proven invaluable in my role as an elementary resource teacher, where I strive to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters a growth mindset in every child.
Continuing my quest for personal and professional growth, I am currently pursuing my Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Populations at the University of Houston. This graduate program has been a transformative journey, deepening my understanding of diverse learning needs and equipping me with the necessary tools to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all my students. With this knowledge, I have better equipped myself to tailor my teaching methodologies to meet the unique needs of every child, encouraging them to embrace their individual strengths and cultivate a growth mindset.
